Job Description
We are seeking a talented IT Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software. This role requires excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a strong technical background.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in person.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripherals.
- Set up and manage user accounts and permissions.
- Perform system upgrades and software installations.
- Ensure data security and backup procedures are followed.
- Document technical procedures and solutions for knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to improve system performance and efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in IT support.
Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are a plus.
